This stand works well for a non-electric bike with a "male" frame as well as lighter ebikes with a step through frame and smaller tires. I was unable to fit the frame portion of the Aventon's seat tube into the clamp as the fender got in the way. I also was able to latch the part of the frame that holds the seat tube and not the seat post itself, as it has a suspension seat post. I tried my wife's Trek Verve 2 on it (weight 27.76 pounds), which is also a step through and it held it just fine and did not have any of the problems with stability that my Aventon did. I should point out that the stability issue may be due to the contact point between the bike and the stand (the seat post) and if I had a "male" frame, a lighter ebike, or removed my rear fender, it's possible this would not be an issue. I was only comfortable keeping the bike in the position you see in the photos and I'm not sure if it would be stable enough to work on, other then oiling the chain. I even removed the battery and still had this problem. When trying to move my ebike into different positions, like I did with my Salsa, the stand became very unstable. The upper portion of the stand also slides up and down and is secured by a quick release but again, it does not lock into place. You have to eyeball getting the center support straight up and down as there is only a small little raised area on it that you can slip the collar over (I think it's supposed to stop the collar from going to low). I tried to tighten the quick release clamp at the bottom to get that to stop from happening and I needed to get a hand vice grip in order to turn it tight enough. Luckily my son was with me and we were able to keep the whole thing from falling over. I got the bike on to the stand and attached to the clamp, by the seat post, as I have a step through frame. The Aventure weighs 73 pounds and as this is marketed to hold 110 pounds (max) I figured there was plenty of leigh way. I attempted to put my Aventon Aventure on the stand. It was very stable while holding this bike. I tried moving the bike to different angles and the application was pretty seamless. Once the stand was put together I first put my Salsa Vaya (gravel bike) on it and it held it just fine. I had to use my "best guess" and found myself removing some screws and rearranging some things to get everything to fit correctly.
